Not to be used for diagnosis or screening of diabetes or for neonatal use. The meter & test strips should be about the same temp before testing. Do not test if there is condensation on the meter. Use the test strip immediately after removing it from the vial, especially in high humidity environments. Use only fingertips when testing w/ the system. Do not use the system when pralidoxime is known or suspected to be in the patient's whole blood sample. False low blood glucose results in case of severe dehydration, shock or hyperosmolar state (w/ or w/o ketosis), & in patients undergoing oxygen therapy. Very high (>55%) or very low (<30%) hematocrit can cause false results. Abnormally high conc of uric acid & other reducing substances in blood may cause inaccurately high results. Do not test critically ill patients w/ blood glucose meters. Clean meter, lancing device & cap at least once per wk, when they are visibly dirty & before disinfection. Disinfect meter, lancing device & cap periodically.
